The performance of DELTATEST depends on the type of sensor being used and the carrier frequency.
Characteristic for the sensors used by DELTATEST, is that the expected result as well as limitations easily can be calculated by a sensor constant named GK.
GK is chosen after the expected result depending on maximum allowed surface structure.
The following simple conclusion has preliminary been set for DELTATEST´s rotating sensor through calculations and extensive testing.
A few unusal alloys can give exceptions due to variations in the characteristics of the material, i e the magnetic permeability.

During 1999 initial measurements and preliminary investigations have been conducted on material samples supplied by potential costumers.
The present performance of DELTATEST is shown in the following example of analogous crack registration relating to these measurements.
These analogous registrations are real, and in no way manipulated. There are no hidden thresholds or similar present.
We will continue to up-date with new registrations.
After separate agreement, TK performs tests on samples supplied by final users.
Please note that it is more important that natural cracks are used as reference cracks when you work with smaller crack depths.
If you use artificial cracks, the width of the crack should be considerably smaller than the actual depth, since the lack of material, not only the crack, tends to be detected!
